Overview

Tambopata National Reserve Tour, Book Now! and enjoy the 4 days and 3 nights tour. During the journey we will live with the nature of the magnificent lush jungle of Tambopata, enjoy thick forests, huge rivers, variety of birds, mammals, reptiles, and insects especially thousands of species of wild flora. You will also visit the most representative of the area: Sandoval Lake where you can take a relaxing bath and the Parrot Clay Lick where you will see hundreds of birds feeding at the same time. You will also experience canopy and a coexistence with a native family, who live from what nature provides them.

Itinerary

Day 1: Eco Adventure in Tambopata

This day we pick you up from the airport or bus station and transfer to our ecological lodge.
We will start our activities and walks after leaving our luggage in our lodge, we will perform activities in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, such as canopy, climbing to the top, we will cross a wooden suspension bridge and we will throw ourselves down the zip line, then we will return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch and have a refreshing rest. In the afternoon we will go kayaking on the Madre de Dios River, we can swim in its waters to refresh ourselves. Later we will visit the famous Monkey Island where we will be able to observe the great variety of species of these animals and enjoy their funny antics. After this adventure we will return to the lodge. In the evening we will enjoy a delicious dinner and take a short walk to see nocturnal birds before resting.

Day 2: Sailing on Sandoval Lake

After a good breakfast, we begin our adventure by boarding a boat that will take us to the Tambopata National Reserve checkpoint, where we will check in. We will walk until we reach the shores of the important Sandoval Lake, where we will possibly be able to see a diversity of fauna and flora and enjoy a delicious and relaxing swim in the lake.
Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious jungle lunch, board a boat and paddle across the lake to see some birds in flight such as hoatzins, anhingas, and possibly observe some playful giant otters. After this beautiful experience, we will return to the lodge where we will have dinner and rest.

Day 3: Visiting a Native Family

Después de tomar un delicioso desayuno, visitaremos a una familia de nativos donde ellos nos compartirán de sus costumbres y tradiciones ancestrales. Ellos elaboran productos interesantes con materiales rústicos y podremos colaborar comprando algunos de sus productos.

Abordaremos el bote y nos iremos hasta una quebrada donde realizaremos la actividad de pescar en forma rústica (opcional), podremos pescar algunos tipos de peces como doncellas y sardinas, los cuales degustaremos en nuestro almuerzo. Por la tarde retornaremos al albergue, cenaremos y descansaremos.

Day 4: Visiting the Parrot Clay Lick

Early in the morning we will board a boat and navigate on the Madre de Dios River to reach an interesting place, there we will observe the arrival of a variety of parrots and possibly macaws to the clay lick, our guide will explain about the habit of these birds. You will have the option to film or take pictures of this incredible activity as well as the sunrise in Tambopata.
At 7:00 a.m. we will return to the lodge to have our last breakfast and then we will return to Puerto Maldonado. Your departure time will depend on your bus or flight itinerary.
